How to make the images in a collection same size

When you click through my images becomes a rectangle and is zoomed in and am not happy with that-

Hey, 

I am using the Brooklyn theme and I tried to use this fix to show only square images on the collection page. This seems to work fine for the mobile view but on the fullscreen, the images are cropped in rectangular format. It is not even displaying the full image and the bottom part of the image is being cut. 

Is there any way to fix this both on mobile and the fullscreen?
