Information architecture for photo gallery website

Hi,

I'm creating a Shopify store for a photo gallery which will sell prints from various artists.
I'm wondering how I can best leverage Shopify's information architecture to create a good canvas for the shop.

Basically the gallery will sell:

- photos from various artists

- prints are available as multiple size and framing options

- products are prints but also books

- each photos would have various caracteristics (eg portrait, emotionnal, dark, light etc). I'm considering using tags for this to allow cross navigation

In the end I'd like to be able to have artist pages with prints and books from that artist, but also a page with all books etc.

Should I define artists as categories? How should I use the vendor field for artists? What would be your recommandation for artists, formats, product type etc?

Thanks,

Vincent
