Instagram feed

Hey guys, I want to include the Instagram feed into the store.

I found the guide on how to do it but I find a bit hard to follow it and I thought maybe someone could expand a little bit.

Step 1:

Create a container element to display the Instagram photos.

My comment: should I create a new section for this?

<div id="shopify-instagram-feed" class="shopify_instagram_feed"></div>

Step 2:

Include the script after loading jQuery library.

My comment: where should I put this?

{{ '//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0382/4185/files/shopifytips-instagram-feed.js' | script_tag }}

Step 3:

Call the function on the container element and specify the username whose photos you want to fetch.

My comment: again, where?

<script>
  (function($){
    $(window).on('load', function(){
      $.instagramFeed({
        'username': 'huynhmaianhkiet', //Username of Instagram
        'container': "#shopify-instagram-feed",
        'display_profile': false, //Decide whether to display user's profile
        'display_biography': false, //Decide whether to display user's biography
        'display_gallery': true, //Decide whether to display Instagram photos as a gallery
        'get_raw_json': false,
        'callback': null,
        'styling': true,
        'items': 12, //Set the maximum number of photos to display - Maximum is 12
        'items_per_row': 4, //Set the maximum number of photos per row
        'margin': 1 //Set the space between photos
      });
    });
  })(jQuery);
</script>

Thanks a lot, I'm still a complete noob when it comes to code but I hope to learn from this.

Hey, @generatorius

Happy to offer up some alternatives. I'm not familiar with the code you mentioned, however, there is a free to install Instagram Feed app that you can install to your Shopify store that doesn't require coding on your end. Instagram Feed + Stories is a solid app that should accomplish what you're looking for. Alternatively, you can use the app Section Feed instead, which is also Free to use!

I hope this helps! If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.
