Making the slideshow image clickable on prestige theme without needing a button

Hi, we are using the prestige these and have the slideshow at the top of our home page, wondering if there is a way to have the slide image as a clickable link so you don't need a button across it that takes away from the image. I found an answer relating to the debut theme but this did not work on the prestige theme.
