Mobile CSS for a button not showing

I recently added a button using the custom html on our homepage. I used css to move the button and change it to a circle. When the website is in desktop & fullscreen view, it is showing properly but when its in mobile, its not showing any of the css changes. How can I fix this? I tried adding [@media only screen and (max-width: 749px)] before the css changes for mobile but its not working.
