Navigation menu - linking to an external website

Wow...I can't figure this one out.

I'm using Venture theme and I need to link some of the menu items to an external website. From Navigation > Menu I clicked on the edt button and there are limited options: Home, Search, Collection, Products, Pages, Blogs.  There is no option for Website or External page link previous threads.

Hi, I use Venture and do have the option to use a Web Address and you can just type in the link.

In case anyone is still looking for an answer - I was a bit confused by this as well because of the varying instructions I found online - I didn't have the option as in the screenshot above. Here's what worked for me in Debut theme: 

Type or paste the link to your external website where it says to. You will then see that the site appears highlighted above that - click on that - it will appear in the bottom box - click add and that should do it.

This is for your navigation menu. Do you know how to put a link on front page of the store so a person can click on it and go (opening another browser page) to that outside link, outside of shopify?

this method seems to bring up the external website page INSIDE a Shopify window/frame. It doesn't actually send the customer BACK to the external website.  That's what I'm trying to figure out: how to get the patron outside of Shopify and back to my own hosted website....anyone have a solution?  I'm using the Debut theme... Thank you in advance!!
