No Image Showing for Blog Searches

I am using the Minimal theme, which has the option to set a "featured image" on blog posts. But my search results for blog posts all come up with a 'no image' image next to them. How do I get the featured item thumbnail to come up in my search results? Thank you!

Hey Jennifer,

Have you added the image as the Featured Image on the post - or just included the image somewhere in the post content?
Double check that you've added the image as the Featured Image (as in the section shown below).

Same issue with the minimal theme for me and yes the image has been uploaded as a featured image.

I know this is old but did you ever find an answer to this? I'm searching for an issue myself and am not having much luck in figuring out how to pull the actual "featured image" image to display it in search when a blog post is in search.
