PAGE OF COLLECTIONS.... HELP!

Hi,

I've created a page which i can display custom collections on.

I now have the problem of the collection description showing twice.

I used this guide to create this,

https://help.shopify.com/en/themes/customization/collections/featuring-collections-using-link-lists

And this is what its looking like on the page I've created

https://www.ewequipment.co.uk/pages/carbide-end-mills

Obviously i want the picture and text below, not the big horrible button above.

Any knows of what i can do let me know,

Thanks

Matt

Hi, @ewequipment !

Katy here from Shopify. I hope all is well with you.

Thanks for including a link to your store - this is very helpful. And indeed also for giving things a go with the help center guide too.

I have taken a look and do see what you mean. it appears as though this class here is what is causing this:

29-59-i88tk-3ts6e

Could you first check that the code you have added to the page.list-collections.liquid template has been copied exactly as is from GitHub here? It seems there may have been some additional content added.

If you notice an additional <div> relating to <div class="grid-uniform text-center row-negative-bottom"> in this file, you can wrap this in {%comment%} tags to hide it.

Alternatively you could set it to display: none  from within your theme's CSS. If doing so this way, I suggest to test this in a duplicate version of your theme as this cannot be rolled back, unlike other theme files.

To do so, if you could navigate to your: Online store > Themes > Actions > Edit code > Assets > theme.scss. At the very bottom of this file, if you could paste the following:

.grid-uniform.text-center.row-negative-bottom{
display: none;
}

Though I do suggest to aim for the former, and cross check the code that you have copied from GitHub first.

I hope this helps - do feel free to let me know how you get on.

Cheers,
Katy
