Partial Word Search Feature

I am trying to find a fix to this problem as well. When I type in Califo in my site nothing comes up. 

https://protinkertoys.com/search?type=product&q=califor

But if I type in California:

https://protinkertoys.com/search?type=product&q=california

products come up. 

I would really love for it to work with partial words.

You would take the code sample provided and use it with your themes search template (ex: search.liquid)  adapting the code as necessary.
