Please Help! Theme suddenly behaving weirdly.

Hi there...

Looking for any help/suggestions as to why my theme has suddenly started behaving weirdly and how I go about fixing it. I've been using the same theme for some time and up until recently I have had no problems, but I have noticed recently that if I navigate to a collections page and try to move on to the next page or change how the products are ordered, all the products disappear and all I am left with is the recently viewed products bit at the bottom.

Not altered anything or added anything so utterly confused.

I'd be thrilled if anyone has any ideas, or even can replicate the error I keep getting.

Sorry to hear you are having an issue with your theme at the moment. Can you explain the exact steps you took when you encountered the problem your experiencing? What theme are you using at the moment? I went on to your page and clicked into your 'horror movie' collection and sorted it by best selling and chose a different view and it was all displaying fine for me. Have a look at the video here.

 

I am using a Google Chrome browser so perhaps clearing your cache and cookies and ensuring you are using Google Chrome will help. Let me know the exact steps anyways and I can try to replicate the issue on my end and once I have a bit more information I can investigate further for you.

Hi there and thanks a lot for taking a look.

It is some relief that the site is working okay for others but I am still having the same problem at this end. I have done as you did and made a little video of the problem. In the video the problem happens when I press to move on to the next page of the collection, but I can tell you that it does exactly the same thing if I try to change the display order as you did in your video.

I also use chrome and cleared all cookies and browsing data prior to making the video.

Hope this helps explain a little the issue a little better.

Interestingly I have just checked the site using Opera and it seems to work perfectly there.

Awh yeah, I understand. I am glad it is working in Opera. It is pretty hard for us to troubleshoot when we can't replicate it on our side but who is your theme developer? It may be worth getting in touch with them and flagging the issue as it is up to them to ensure their theme is optimised among different devices and internet browsers. You can find your theme developer by going to Online Store > Themes > Customize > Theme Settings on your Shopify admin, then you scroll to the bottom of the sidebar menu and you will see the developers name and click on 'get support' to email them directly.

Thanks a lot for your help. Unfortunately it was a third party theme I bought a couple of years ago and the developer has moved onto other projects and doesn't support or update this particular theme anymore. Hopefully it's only an issue at my end in which case I can cope till the New Year and then install a fresh theme.
