I am new to Shopify, get used to Wordpress, in which when i create a new product page - the URL will include the product type/category in URL. Wordpress will automatically add the "category/type" in the URL after e.g. product
but when i check Shopify URL - it only shows "product" in URL
e.g. abc.com / product / red shoes for boys....
but since i have several product categories / types in store, e.g. shoes, t-shirt, hats, trousers etc.
i can now manually edit the URL by adding a "shoe" after "product" in URL....
But how to make the URL automatically detect and put in URL?
looks like the URL become messy now as all belong to the same "product" URL
Thanks for your advice.

Shopify URL's will update based on how your customer navigated to the final page. For example, if they click on your collection, then the product it would show domain.com/collection/product/productname.
If your customer solely navigated to the product without using other pages, then you would see product/product name. Unfortunately, this wouldn't be something that you would be able to alter or have auto updated based on the collections the product is assigned to.
All the best,
