Product video (non-gallery) plays inline on product page?

Hello Shopify Community!

I'm building my store using the Narrative Theme, and I'm using external product videos hosted on YouTube. 

I'd like these videos to play inline so customers can read the product description as they watch. 

It appears the js for the player doesn't have a case for "playsinline" when this attribute is passed using Liquid. Does anyone know how to make this work?

I've created a test product so you can see the behavior of external videos on Narrative. 
It's visible on my store at this address .

As you can see, all product videos on Narrative play in a fullscreen player. 
I'd like to make a product template which plays videos inline.

I can work around this problem by creating templates for every product with such a video, commenting out the product media section, and inserting my custom code for a responsive video player. 
However, I would much rather create just one template for use with all such videos that uses the media tags and passes a class for inline player; but, I don't know how to edit the Javascript for the YouTube player.

Yes! The Debut theme also has the inline video behavior I want.

It can be done by doing some code customization. Please take the help of a developer and hire Shopify Expert or me
