@Michelle Carter

You can build a new custom page in Shogun (or use one of our page templates to get you started), and use that page as a replacement for your existing homepage. If you love your existing theme homepage, often times you can rebuild in Shogun as a new page.

By default, your theme may show a variety of things on your homepage, such as the content of your About us page, some featured products, or an excerpt of your latest blog entry. This will replace the content of your homepage with the content of your new page.

Here is how to replace your Shopify homepage with a page in Shogun:

Click here to be taken to the Shogun Support Center and Tutorial video:

Here are the steps:

1. First of all, create a page in Shogun and publish it to Shopify.  Make a note of the handle you used for the page.  You may want to make the handle "homepage" if you don't already have a page with that handle. The "handle" is the very last part of the URL for your page

Example:

https://example.com/pages/homepage

2. Edit your theme. From your Shopify admin, click Online Store, and then click Themes (or press G W T). Find the theme you want to edit, click the ... button, and then click Edit HTML/CSS.

3. Under the Templates folder, locate and click on page.liquid to open it in the online code editor.

4. Place your cursor somewhere in the content of page.liquid. To select all the code, tap Ctrl-A (Windows) or CMD-A (Mac). Once all the content is selected, copy the code using Ctrl-C (Windows) or CMD-C (Mac). Close the template.

5. Under the Templates folder, locate and click on index.liquid to open it in the online code editor.

6. Place your cursor somewhere in the content of index.liquid, and select the contents of the file by tapping Ctrl-A (Windows) or CMD-A (Mac).

7. Once all of the content is highlighted, use Ctrl-V (Windows) or CMD-V (Mac) to paste the code you just copied into the file.

8. At the very top of your amended index.liquid file, add this code:

{% assign page = pages.homepage %}

**Note. Add that ^^ or whatever you set your page "handle" to be.

9. Remove the title for your homepage by deleting the line of code "<h1>{{ page.title }}</h1>"

9. Save your changes.

You should always write HOW you resolved something you posted on the forum.

Thx
