I have followed the instructions here:
and as a test case added this to the login form:
<input type="hidden" name="checkout_url" value="/pages/contact-us" />
I can browse to that page - in other words, it exists, but after I login, now instead of being taken to the account page (which is where you would go without the tag added to the form) and instead of going to /pages/contact-us it is taking me to the cart page. Any idea why this would happen?
Elle here! I've moved your post to our Design board where you should receive a better response.
I would also recommend editing your post to include the URL of your store, along with screenshots of the code you've modified!
Here's the page:
So the help.shopify.com link in my original question describes a very simple way to choose a different page than the account page that you can send the user too after logging in. So I added it and updated it to take the user to the contact page after logging in. Unfortunately, when I test it by logging in, now I get sent to the cart page. I can't figure out how to fix this. It doesn't matter what page I try to send it to, it just ends up going to the cart page.
