Hi all, I have read similar threads on this topic:

...but none have been able to guide me enough to make the necessary changes. My shop is www.shopdreamcloset.co and my theme is Minimal. I understand the basics of CSS but have not been able to identify where in the code I need to reduce the padding or margin. My concern is that on the product pages, this header takes up so much room that a visitor's attention isn't drawn to the images.

Can someone please assist? Thank you so much for your help!!

Hi there,

Chris from Shopify here. Thank you for being so detailed in your post, it really helps us diagnose what you're looking for! To reduce the header in your theme, you'll want to enter your HTML editor in the Themes page of your Shopify admin. From there, select the timber.scss.liquid file. Line 2013 of that file seems to contain the header padding value, as seen here:

Altering that value will reduce your overall header padding. Perhaps changing the value from 40px to 20px will be a good reduction for your needs. I tried that on my own store, and it looks decent! Hope that helps.

Chris, It's been over 4 years from this post but I have the same issue. However I followed your instruction and located the [timber.scss.liquid file. Line 2013] and also changed the 40px to 20px but it would not allow me to save. I even tried 39px and still would not let me save. I require the Logo and menu to be on the one line so that it all fits. You will see straight away what I need. https://web-ethemes-design.myshopify.com/ If you are still online could you please provide a solution to this. I'm having the same problem.. I saved my padding on line 2013 to 0 even and it's still not working.

I really want the menu on the same line, in a single as the logo.

thanks
