Reducing white spacing between sections (Brooklyn Theme)

Hello

I know there's a few posts around this issue on the community design page already but I've been unable to get one that works for my page (shapewearmystique.com)  My page uses the Brooklyn theme.

I'm looking to reduce the excessive white spacing between sections, particularly on my home page.  I've post 2 screen image examples below:

Example 1.jpg

Example 2.jpg

The theme places large white spaces between text paragraphs and images on Products pages as well.

Anyway, any assistance to sort this and make my page look more professional would be greatly appreciated.

Regards Manic

Hi @Manic35

For the homepage section, use this CSS code in your theme header or footer liquid file.

div#shopify-section-1575104517539 {
    margin: 0px;
}

And for the product page give me the product page link. Best of luck!

Hello

If you want to remove the space between text and images like show on screenshot use below css

add below css in Theme-->Edit code-->Asset-->theme.scss.liquid

open theme.scss.liquid file and at last paste below css code and check

.index-sections .shopify-section {
margin-top: 21px;
}

@media screen and (min-width: 591px)
.section-header {
margin-bottom: 6px;
}

Hi and thanks for the response.

I added this code to the bottom of the header.liquid and then footer.liquid files but it made no difference I could detect.

Do I need to add it to a specific place in the header or footer files?

Hi  and thank you for your response.

Unfortunately that code block dramatically altered the appearance of my homepage, menus, MASSIVE page long spacing and missing images, etc. so I had to remove it.

Hello @Manic35

Make sure you put the code inside <style> </style> section.

Hello

That code is right you just use proper branching of div in css like class or ID then not menu and other section will affect.

Hi again

Ok that worked perfectly for the one section area; 1575104517539

How do I determine the unique number for the other sections I which to fix?  I know I can 'Inspect elements' but can't see the  number.

Thanks again.
