Hey, @offroadjim!
My name is Lilith, I'm on the Social Care team at Shopify.
I'm super glad you asked this specific question. This is something common that many business owners wish to have. I have a simple solution for you!
Follow the directions here so that you can remove any links you wish on your navigation menus.
X
to the right of it.#
.
Please see this GIF below to help you visualize steps 3-7.
By adding the #
character in place of a link, this lets the header in that menu to stay on that page and not reload or take the customer to any other page.
I'd recommend not using a link to the homepage, this will reload the page and interrupt the user experience.
I'm also including the link here to our guide on how to Add a drop-down menu from the main menu. In this section, it'll show the above method to remove links on any menu items.
Let me know how you do with the information above! I'm happy to answer any questions you think of as you work on your business.

Hi Lilith,
Thank you for your solution! It actually solved my problem as well. We are also wondering if we can make the dead link unclickable.
Thanks!
Eric
Hi, @PigsyStudio! Removing the visible link on the headers might require a bit more coding in the theme to make sure that it shows up the way you want it to, but it definitely can be done! The link list can be changed in your header code of the theme.
I highly recommend hiring one of our partners to help you with this. You can find a suitable Shopify Partner in the Experts Marketplace or request a quote by following this guide here.
