Removing "shipping calculated at checkout" for Debut theme

So I'm completely new with Shopify and I'm working with the Debut theme, but no matter how hard I try I cannot get the "Shipping calculated at checkout" to be replaced with "Free shipping within the United States." 

 

I've searched through these boards and this is what I have already tried:

- changing the text in the language settings (everything related to shipping says what I want and is saved but doesn't appear in store)

- changing the code in product-template.liquid (not super code savy so just followed the instructions that someone else gave) and got an error saying it couldn't be saved

 

At this point I'm out of options and ideas so someone please help!!

 Go to Online Store->Theme->Edit Language

Bo here from Shopify Support! 

 

What you will need to do here is go to Online Store > Current theme > Actions > Edit Language. Once in the language editor, you will search for "Shipping and Taxes Calculated on Checkout". Once it loads, you will be able to change it to say what you want.

I've already tried this and it doesn't fix anything. If you have another

When you click save after editing the language does any error message appear? Does it display as saved and just not appear as such on the storefront? Could I get a link to your store to take a look? What browser are you currently using to work on your store?
