Shopify subscription policy bug

I understand that leaving a policy (under settings -> legal) empty will prevent it from appearing on my checkout. This is working fine for my 'privacy policy' which is empty and doesn't appear on the checkout. However, the 'subscription policy' has auto-filled with Shopify's template and whenever I delete all text in it and save it refills with the template.

I don't have a 'subscription' so don't need a subscription policy.

How do I resolve this?

Same issue! I can't get rid of the subscription policy box. For now I had to populate it with a sentence stating I don't offer a subscription policy.

But I do not want the option at all. ... This is a new feature but I don't need it. 

I would like to get rid of the menu item completely. (From the legal pages content shown at check-out).
