I am trying to submit my sitemap to Google but I can't seem to find it. I have the following error:
This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.
This is the parent sitemap linking to additional sitemaps for products, collections and pages as shown below. The sitemap can not be edited manually, but is kept up to date in real time.
Can anybody please give me an idea of how I can fix this? I am not very technical but I know a little.
Thank you in advance
The message you are seeing is created by the browser and is 100% not part of the actual sitemap. It's just a friendly message that some browsers add.
If you viewed the source of the page (right click, choose view page source) you'd see the actual xml. The sitemap you have will be correct and can be used as is.
Sorry I didnt really understand your explanation. I have got the same error. Does it means that shopify will fix itself?
I read the thread and understand where you say the products are resididing. However, how do we view that sitemap? More importantly, how do the Google crawlers view that sitemap? My online store has lost ALL ranking and looks like it's been wiped off the map ever since I migrated from Weebly to Shopify. I need help or my business is going to go under.
I'm having the same problem - my rankings are down and this is what I get when I 'view soure'
