I use Shopify Responsive theme for my website www.ecobeau.co.uk and am struggling with how the homepage appears on a mobile device. I have recently added a slideshow and some collection images to my homepage using the Shopify recommended image sizes. They look great on a desktop however the slideshow on mobile doesn't look in proportion the rest of the homepage. The rest of the homepage has been optimised on the mobile however the images on the slideshow look too small. The collection images don't appear to be affected in the same way as they look fine.
Any ideas on how to make the slideshow look more in proportion to the rest of the homepage on mobile?
My website is www.ecobeau.co.uk
I'm using Responsive theme
Thanks in advance
Hank here from Shopify.
Great work on your website, it really looks good! I certainly understand what you mean by how it appears on the mobile device versus the desktop version. While the recommended image sizes are usually a great guideline, some themes react differently to the images per device being used.
Don't worry, this is something that your theme developer would be able to assist you with. As you are using a third-party theme, you will need to reach out to your theme developer to get them to make these changes for you as this would not be supported by Shopify. I have got their contact information for you here, but you can also find it using the steps listed in this guide.
They will be able to change the element or to change the image to a certain screen size, which will resolve your query.
Let me know how you get on with this, or if you have any other questions!
All the best, Hank
I'm having the same issue--I'm using the Brooklyn theme and doing all of the work myself, for better or worse. I've got my site optimized as well as I can do it--at least until I see something else. lol
My problem is that when I optimize my slideshow images for mobile they are not very good on desktop. I would truly appreciate any help that someone might be able to provide.

Thanks for reaching out here about this, @DaVinci.
As you are using a Shopify theme, this may be possible through our developers. The only thing I want to query is you mentioned you have done the work yourself. Is this in reference to you have edited or changed the theme code? Or just by adding products, etc?
If the theme code has been changed, then the internal support would be void as the theme has changed, and our developers would not like to undo your existing work. There are ways you can obtain support though. As you have shared your store URL then hopefully, someone with more technical skills in the community will come across this and be able to add some value to you here, but if not, your best bet might be to reach out to one of our Shopify Experts, who you can hire to do almost any custom work on your store.
If you were to reach out to them about this query, they would be able to resolve this issue for you.
Or another option, should you wish our own developers to take a look at this, you could install a new version of your theme, and once you are on a paid plan with remaining design time, then our developers can take a look at this for you.
Let me know if you have any additional questions about this.
Hello and thank you for your reply. The only changes that I have made have been:
1) To add Google Pixel snippets as required to track users on my website
2) I added a Section that I got from a YouTube video that allows me to use separate images for mobile and desktop on my home page. Unfortunately that section does not include slideshow images, and that's what I am looking for--a way to use separate images for mobile and desktop WITHIN THE SLIDESHOW.
Thank you again for taking the time to reply...
Thank you for the additional context, my friend.
I spoke with our theme developers, but those changes would count as changes to the overall theme, so the option I gave about the Shopify experts would be the recommended route to take regarding these changes.
Or as I mentioned, developers are active in these boards and may come across this post and offer their assistance also.
