Transferring settings_data.json

Hi all,

I'm building a new theme, and I'm reusing one section from an older theme, with all the code unchanged.

In the old theme, I have some customisations in that said section and I'd like to copy all those over to the new theme.

There are many blocks in this section - so manual would be very time consuming.

So, I just did a copy-paste of that section's json in the respective section in the new theme, no errors popped up, validated json.

But nothing showed up. I looked in the customise theme dashboard on shopify and it shows no blocks, even with the new settings_data.json updated.

I noticed that each block has a long string, such as "1572759614325" before the settings for the block in the json.

I'm starting to think that the blocks are unique? Is what I'm trying to achieve not possible, and I have to manually re-input the data in the new theme?

Thanks all!

Figured it out... it's the block order!

I'm working on the exact same thing. How did you get it to work?

Hello! I am just in the same situation, I copied and pasted the data on JSON but nothing appears. Could you resolve this?
