Unable to create a new collection for an existing product tag

G'day

Problem: unable to create a New Collection pointing to an existing product tag?

1/ created a product and added following TAGS:
Felton

House Care

Laundry

2/ press Create Collection button, entered the new collection name = House Care

3/ under CONDITIONS

Product tag

is equal to

??? (House Care does not show up)

note: shopify products imported via an Excel file; we initially exported products, edited it, and then imported back to ensure file consistency

I understand you're trying to create a new automated collection based off some newly added product tags, but the new tags aren't appearing as options for conditions. I'm happy to help out with this! Without taking a closer look for myself, my initial thought is that when creating the new collection, you're likely seeing a cached list of product tags. By completing some local troubleshooting steps, we should be able to make it so that your new collection has access to all the most updated information on your shop. Here are the steps I recommend taking to resolve this issue: 

  • Check your browser for any available updates and complete them if able
  • Clear your browsers cache and cookies (https://kb.iu.edu/d/ahic)
  • Access your shop in a private / incognito browsing session and try again
  • Try in an alternate browser and complete the above steps again
  • Try on an alternate device and complete the above steps again

If after completing those steps the issue persists, please reply back here to let me know and include a screenshot of a product with the new tag in question, as well as a screenshot showing that tag option not appearing in the collection. I hope to see everything working as expected shortly!
