Hi - mine is having the same issue.

I went to edit code --> assets but only had the option for theme.liquid or theme.css rather than theme.css.liquid, so I entered the new code snippet at the bottom of both theme.liquid and theme.css. It still is not working and is displaying a broken image as my logo.
