Venture Boxing Theme - Help.

Hi All,

I require some support setting up my first store.  I am using the Venture Theme and have come across some snags.  I have never done this before so sorry if the questions are stupid. 

1. The main menu along the top how do I collapse it, at the moment it's creating a menu on the far left. 

2. How do I add information  Banner- under where the menu items should be that user can click the x to cancel if that make sense guess it would be announcements - See photo below. 

3. Is there a way to make this search bar smaller on my page seems very large?
