By not having the ability to have a default shipping method/package type, this causes valuable time every day for people who buy shipping in Bulk.
If I shipped ONE package UPS, and my preferred method is USPS, then go bulk print shipping for 50 orders, they all come up UPS. If an employee does this and is not paying attention, it not only causes the possibly of 50 items being shipped the wrong method, but at 3-4x the cost as they should be costing us alot of money.
If it is noticed, then we have to manually change each and every orders shipping method, again costing us valuable time, which is money.
Shopifys inability to have this feature sets them apart from virtually all other selling platforms, and frankly, i am embarrased that this cannot get fixed on the part of shopify.
From a programming standpoint, this is a super easy thing to do, and I am in awe that this has continued for so long without being addressed by shopify, other than moderators or support specialists saying "we will make the suggestion" Well, dont make the suggestion, get this fixed!
If shopfiy would spend a little time on fixing this vs. screwing up the auto logoff, we would be miles ahead in terms of efficiency as business operators.
The success of shopify depends on the success of its users, and this is only costing its users money either in mis-shipped items, or in time to fix it every single day when it comes up.
