how do i remove the text from a collections image

i want to know how to remove the text thats over the images of my collections - example above , i want to remove vivid voltage singles that is overlaid on the image , the text itself is the collections name/title but i simply want to display the image

do let me know if u prefer email, otherwise il just use this chat log for now, i do have another question at this stage . as you can see i have set up sub collections on my site , the images for those collections have been resized to fit the size needed to display them on the page on (image 2 below). when u click on the sub collection  of choice - example in image 1 below , the vivid voltage image at the top is oversized... how can i fix this. if i change the size in the collection setting then my issue will be the images dont fit on the page correctly on ( image 2 below ) hope i didnt confuse the situation im a noob at this stuff.
