jQuery in not defined on Debut 17.4.1

Seems jQuery have been removed from Debut theme 17.4.1(latest theme update). Is it right?

If yes, how to use jQuery should I add it manually to `theme.liquid` or elsewhere?

But what was the reason to remove it from default Shopify theme? This is kind of weird. A lot of apps use jQuery and I think apps expect that with this will be no problems.

I'm not sure it was before, many times I added manually!
for your second question, APP developer use their standalone solution. They do not depends always on themes jquery. If there is present in theme, they they use it otherwise they inject their own.

Looking close at the demo it looks like it's still using a severely outdated version on Jquery. 3.3.1 is being loaded, which is from 2018 and contains known vulnerabilities.

Yes, that Debut preview has jQuery but that version of Debut is 16.4.0

New Shopify installation has Debut version 17.4.1

Seems Debut version 17.7.0 have restored jQuery.

Seems Debut devs still playing with jQuery. Do they understand how many files related to that plugin?
