AFTERSHIP AND SHOPIFY EMAILS

Hello, I am a beginner to Shopify dropshipping and I recently started using aftership to fullfill orders but I want the aftership emails to be sent to customers instead of the Shopify email notifications because I don’t want any confusion with the tracking numbers or shipping dates.. can someone please help me. I am so confused and I’m at my wits end :(

Just want to double check which notification emails you'd like us to help you turn off. If you're looking to turn off the Shipment out for delivery and Shipment delivered notification emails, I can help you out. Hi there, we have the same issue: our clients get alarmed when those notifications go out, because they expect the package to arrive earlier than it actually does. We used to disable them on Magento. Can you please help us too to remove them? Where should I communicate the correct store to make the change to?

I can certainly help out with disabling the Shipment out for delivery and Shipment delivered notification emails. In order for us to get started, I need your store URL so I can send an authentication email to your account owner email. Once we've authenticated you through email, I can proceed to help you to turn the notifications off.

Hi,

 

I have the issue the Shipping confirmation email is not being sent.

After testing Aftership I decided not to use it and fall back to the default tracking method of Shopify. So I deleted the app from my shop.

Unfortunately, since then the default Shipping confirmation email after fulfillment is not being sent out automatically...

I cannot find any options in the Notification settings that point to this issue.

Can you please advise?

 

So to sent out the tracking link I trigger the Shipment update email manually for each order at the moment...

Jason here from Shopify Support. Thanks for reaching out.

 

In this case, the fastest way to resolve it is to contact Aftership support directly at support@aftership.com. Let the app support know that your shipping confirmation notification has been turned off through the script of the app. Don't forget to include a screenshot of your store's shipping notification settings, showing the support that it's properly on but no emails were sent. You can access the notification settings at admin > Settings > Notifications > Customer notifications. The screenshot will look similar if not the same as this (taken from my test store).

The app support can then request access to your admin and investigate if there are any scripts leftover at your theme code to prevent you from restoring back to the default notifications. Once the scripts are properly removed by the app support, your store can send out the shipping confirmation email automatically, instead of manually. If the app support has confirmed that it's out of their scope and there are no scripts left yet the issue persists, feel free to reach out in this thread or contact our 24/7 live support. We'd be happy to take a closer look for you.
