Is this a bank account you are trying to connect to Shopify Payments? If so, can you tell me which country you are based in please?

Hello!  I have a similar problem. My old bank account is closed and i dont have the information anymore. I currently have a payout expected to go out nov 16th. on the closed bank.   my url is maxmariedesign.com . Im located in Michigan.  Thank you..

Hi @maxmariedesign,

Are you able to change the bank account on file for Shopify Payments in Settings > Payment providers, or are you unable to do so because the account you currently have on file is now closed? If you are unable to enter in the bank account information required to change the account used for payouts, please let me know, as this is something our Payments team will likely need to assist with.

Yes, I am unable to change it due to that bank account being closed and not being able to get ahold of the account information.

Hi @maxmariedesign,

Okay, thank you for confirming this. Even if the bank account is closed, you may be able to find out the account details by any of the following methods:

  • Referring to a void cheque for the account in question
  • Checking your online banking account for details
  • Checking any paper statements you've received for the account
  • Contacting your bank directly to see if they can provide this information

If after trying these methods you are still unable to locate the bank account information, please let me know here.
