Active Carts but no Visitors

Hey there,

I have just had a big rush on my website tonight following an ad campaign. Woohoo.

However, at one point my live view said I had no visitors to the website but 25 Active Carts? This number kept rising with no visitors being shown at all. 

Can someone explain to me what this is as I have not seen this before?

I saw the same thing....15 active carts no visitors.

Yesterday I had 40 active carts with no visitors in store.  Today, no visitor has been in for almost 30 minutes and an active cart popped up.  ???  I don't know why this happens.

This may have been a bug in Live View just not updating.  Or in your analytics.  There are enough posts here of multiple people seeing it that it might be worth chatting in to Support and asking them to see if there is any known issues or if there was and that were fixed.  You can also Login on https://shopifystatus.com/ to see if there were any known issues effecting your specific store.
