Apple Pay on Shopify store

Hi everyone,

I am trying to find out if anyone runs into the same situation as I do. I am trying to integrate Apple Pay to my shopify store but I am not allowed to. I spoke with Shopify via live chat and was told that my "Store is not eligible" for apple pay since day 1 and they did not provide me with a reason why exactly that my store is not eligible. I then turned to stripe and trying to follow the steps Stripe requested (uploaded a domain association file to shopify store and host it at /.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association).

I found no way of doing the Stripe method (I did the URL redirect but did not work).

Anyone knows how to do it through stripe or Shopify to enable Apple Pay?

Thank you in advance.

No, I didn't find a solution to this. So, I basically gave up on using
Apple pay on my store.

Using Stripe, the first thing you need to be sure of is whether you got SSL activated on your store domain. Make sure that when you purchase a domain from Shopify or any other platforms, SSL should be activated for it and the respective platform may charge you accordingly.

Secondly, Apple Pay is supported for the following :

To see the Apple Pay button, your customers must use Safari on iOS 12.1 or macOS 10.14.1 on one of the following devices:

  • iPhone (SE, 6, 6 Plus, or newer)
  • iPad (Pro, Air 2, mini 3, or newer)
  • Apple Watch
  • MacBook Pro with Touch ID
  • Any Mac model (2012 or newer) plus an Apple Pay-enabled iPhone or Apple Watch

And for the Live chat where the representative mentioned "your store is not eligible", refer to the following link: Apple Pay

And for Stripe integration or if you find any query in general, please connect with me on lemolite790@gmail.com
