Being forced to upgrade to shopify plus

Hi there!

I'm opening a store that offers healthcare services to clients at their homes in UK. We sell services like remote consultations with doctors, nurse visits, physiotherapy visits etc. and products like home blood test kits, covid-19 home test kits. 

I've received an email from, asking me to upgrade to Shopify Plus and if not they will remove my products. This is despite submitting the requested documents regarding the products. 

Has this happened to anyone else, is that legit? How do I verify this and make sure its not some partner trying to make a commission?

This does sound rather strange and it's possible it could be a spam email that's not actually coming from Shopify.
