Why isn't my product SKU updating after CSV upload in Shopify?

Hi,

I'm trying to overwrite product SKU's via a CSV upload, but can't seem to get it to work. I've tried including the new SKU in a SKU field, and in a Variant SKU field, but neither will result in the product SKU in Shopify being updated/overwritten. Is there something I'm missing?

Hi @JakeW ,

Please make sure you're using this guide https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/products/import-export/import-products

Also this may be a setting you would want during an update import. 

Click the Replace any current products that have the same handle checkbox.

Did you get an answer for this? I'm having the same issue. None of the data is updating for products. Including SKU and Weight.

I ended up deleting some unnecessary fields, although I can't remember which. Whenever I am doing a batch update I now use the same format/fields to upload, which includes these fields:
