Change shipping page to drop down box

Hello,

Customers are abandoning cart because it’s obvious they don’t want to fill out all their details just to see how much shipping is.

How do I charge it to a drop down box, so customers can select what country they are in to receive shipping costs?

This is really a pain and stopping me from getting sales! People just want to know the price...why does shopify make it so hard?

While the checkout process cannot be changed on the platform, as our checkout is not open to coding for security purposes, you can install an app like Estimated Shipping Cost or Shipping Rates Calculator which will display an approximate shipping cost based on your customers' IP address. These apps will give you the functionality you're looking for in allowing customers to preview their shipping cost prior to submitting their details through the checkout.
