Hi, I'm new to Shopify and in the process of building my store. I'm trying to transfer my collections to my online store but I can't see them. It's not flagging up any errors and it tells me it has done it but I can't see it in my store. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello @Jen55 !

 

Make Sure you follow these steps:

 

From your Shopify admin, go to Products > Collections.

Click Create collection.

Enter a title and description for the collection.

In the Collection type section, click Manual.

Click Save.

 

In the Products section, search for products or click Browse, and then add the products that you want to have in the collection.

 

In the Sales channels section, click Manage to select the sales channels where you want your collection to be available.

 

In the Collection image section, click Add image to upload an image for the collection.

Click Save.

 

Add a link to your collection in your online store navigation so that customers can find and view the collection.

Hi, thank you for replying. I have done all that but still I can’t see any
of my products.
It’s quite bizarre. I’m at my wits end with it now.

Hello @Jen55 ,

 

Kindly delete the collections and add them one by one. When you add one collection check it in preview then publish it.

Hey, @Jen55. Sorry to hear this is being so frustrating for you! Let’s look into it.

 

Just to clarify, when you go to your storefront, you’re able to go to your collections, but the collections are empty; They do not contain any products, correct?

 

If this is the case, then the next thing to check is that your products are ‘Active’. When a new product is created it is in ‘Draft’ status, and until it is changed to ‘Active’ the product(s) will be hidden from your storefront. 

 

To quickly check on this, click on Products on the left hand side of your admin and look in the status column as seen below. To change the status, select the product(s) by putting a check in the box to the left of it, and choosing ‘More actions > Set as active’.
