Create Free Download Page & Download Buttons for Free Items

Hello :)
I'm new to Shopify but not in the world of online stores and I was wondering how could I create a unique page where my costumers can download the free items after having subscribed to my newsletter.

Something similar (pretty much the same) can be found on this page https://cymatics.fm/pages/free-download-vault

You can click on download but nothing happens, and then, after you opted-in for the newsletter, every free product/song comes downloadable with an easy click.

How could I do this? :)

EDIT:   I Realized that the first page is a simple page with products that display a pop up every time you click on it and nothing else;

then there is a funnel page after you opted-in

and then you are simply redirected to another page (https://cymatics.fm/pages/secret-free-download) that contains the free downloads with one click.

So the questions are two:

1) How do I create the first tipe of page, where instead of having product downloads I have this "pop-up" ?
2) How can I create the second page with the download buttons? I'd have to create a button and then link it to the product link in my site?

I think this could be achieved by custom page templates. and creating a specific collection for free products.

you will need 2 custom templates the will both exactly the same except one will show modal and one will actually have the download links.

this will require custom coding. and also will require specific way for adding the free products.

Can you please tell me what you mean with "modal"?

The modal is the window that pops up in the same page.

like you see in most website they have a subscribe box that pops up, that's a modal

I' searching for the same solution as 1) you've described. But no clear answer is given.

Maybe you've already figured out how to give free download after an email subscription? Without going through the check-out?
