I have a similar problem. I have deleted a bunch of products (400- 600) because the import csv was not correct. But after some hours they keep reapparing. Not all of them, just 100 usually, never the same ones.
I need to re-import the correct products without mixing them with the old ones.

As a matter of fact it seems that the problem solved by itself overnight.
I must belive It was only a problem of time, cache, queue of request or a combination of those.
Concerning this, I would suggest a more consistent interface.
Like flagging the 'due to be deleted' products as 'due to be deleted' in order to have the less tech-wise users not panic.

It's happening again, do you guys use a non-deterministic garbage collection?
Importing products it's a pain here.
I got weird poorly written csv to import everytime.
500 produtcts must disappear because they have been created in a messy way.
but they keep floating up again, no way to flush them for good.
I am sick of waiting and I am going banani.
