I have a shop that is based in Belgium, and sends out products to France and The Netherlands.
For a private customer (B2C) the VAT is always 21%, in any scenario.
For a business, the default VAT for France is 20%, the default for Belgium is 21%.
If a customer orders from France, and shipping is directly to France, the VAT should be 20% (both on products and shipping). If the customer orders from France, but picks up the goods in Belgium, the VAT should be 21%.
The exception, where for a B2B customer the VAT is 20% if the customer orders from France and we need to deliver it to France, does not seem to be possible within Shopify?
Can anyone help me with a solution? Because for my french customers I now have VAT issues since the invoice counts the wrong VAT percentage. How can we distinguish between a B2B and B2C customer?
