Okay, so can you confirm have you a banner within your Shopify admin, or are you needing to update your EIN within your store for tax reasons?
In order to update tax details, we require federal documentation to support the change. This can be in the form of a Signed and dated W9, SS4, or a CP 575 form. The documentation should include your EIN, address, and legal business name.
If this is correct, once I authenticate your store, I can then forward this ticket to my colleagues in escalated support who will add an upload button to your Shopify admin in order to provide this document.

So just to confirm, you are creating a store for a Merchant, and are setting up the payment gateway integration, is it?
The account owner would normally set this up as it contains sensitive information, but depending on what the payment gateways requirements are, would be what information is posted within. Due to this, the SSN may not be correct.
Have you reached out to the payment gateway about this, or can you confirm which payment method you are looking to use?
