When a customer places an order, they should receive an automated confirmation email from Shopify. But these are being kicked back because Godaddy is not allowing Shopify to send emails from my domain. I can't be the first person to have this problem

Remote-MTA: dns; smtp.secureserver.net
Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 550 5.1.0 23.227.37.240 is not allowed to send from
<automedals.com> per it's SPF Record. Please inspect your SPF settings, and
    try again. IB508  <http://x.co/srbounce>

Hey, Randall!

Stephanie here from Shopify.

There are a couple of steps you need to take where you are utilizing an email address that is associated with a custom domain.

1.  Add Shopify's Sender Policy Framework (SPF) record to your domain's DNS settings.

2. Reach out to GoDaddy's support directly to ensure that they are not using DomainKey Identified Mail (DKIM) validation (which Shopify does not support).

Here's our doc that goes over this in further detail: https://help.shopify.com/manual/intro-to-shopify/initial-setup#customer-email-best-practices

Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out to our support directly :)

- Stephanie

Thanks Stephanie. I just found that a few minutes ago and it appears to have resolved the problem.

But this is something that shouldn't have to be done manually when syncing Shopify with Godaddy.

It should be added automatically to the SPF along with the other Shopify SPF settings that are added automatically
