Hey guys, facing the same problem. I have retargeting ads running and they are showing the compare at price not the selling price.
- variants all with the same prices, all showing the compare at price which I significant larger.

Is it just a matter of time?

Thanks,
Jaz

Hi @agarwala, @furnishings, @adandishop @patrickrlynch49 @PerrySkope , @Dressedbyjaz ,

I have mentioned this to our higher level support team and they are looking into it. In the meantime, can I ask if you have all tried re-syncing the product feed? If you have and you are still experiencing the issue, there is an alternative you could look into applying.  While our Facebook sales channel streamlines the product catalogue creation process, you can create your own one to set up a Facebook shop. The Facebook sales channel and Facebook Marketing are two separate entities. When you connect a store to Shopify's Facebook sales channel, Shopify generates a product catalog for you. This product catalog is owned by Shopify as it was created through Shopify's Facebook sales channel.

If you need access to the Facebook product catalog, for example to setup dynamic product ads (DPAs), you need access to a catalog. As we are not able to give you access to the catalog created by Shopify's Facebook channel, there are a few ways you can match products to a catalog for DPAs:

  • use Shopify's supported Facebook Marketing app, which will create a catalog that you own (the Facebook sales channel's catalog is owned by Shopify), which you can then make dynamic ads - this is outlined here

  • use a third party application to manually create a new catalog to match to the Facebook pixel. This would be unsupported by Shopify, as the catalog would be created outside of Shopify.

As mentioned above, a product feed can be obtained through a third-party application, such as Flexify: Facebook Product Feed. While third-party apps are outside the scope of our support, we'll do our best to point you in the right direction:

  1. Navigate to Assets > Catalogs within your Facebook Business Manager account.
  2. Click ‘Create Catalog’.
  3. Select a category (such as ‘E-commerce’).
  4. Select ‘Upload Product Info’ and ensure you own the catalog.
  5. View the newly created catalog and click Product Data Sources > Add Data Source > Add New Product.
  6.  Select ‘Use Data Feeds'.
  7. From here, open Flexify and copy your feed URL.
  8. Navigate back to Facebook data feeds section, select ‘Set a Schedule’, and paste the feed URL.
  9. You can then connect your Facebook pixel to this catalog by going to Event Data Sources > Connect to Tracking
  10. Select your Pixel ID (ensuring it matches the one that’s been added to Online store > Preferences in Shopify), and click Done

hi, I face the same issue as others discribed a few months ago. Is there some sort of solution? For dynamic Facebook product ads it does show the compare at price instead of the sale price.... How could I change this? Lukas

Hi Nick/Shopify/Fellow customers; Using an example product we sell and have discounted ‘Tate clock 40cm' in Shopify feed (https://milkandsugar.com.au/products/tate-40cm-clock-white where you can see discounting) vs Facebook feed shows the following (also shown in below screenshots);

Problem: Need to be able to display strike-through prices on Facebook carousel dynamic ads (which are driven by the shopify feed which updates daily via facebook catalog manager where shopify feed is connected) Summary of example pricing for this discounted tate clock;

    1. Shopify has "Compare at Price" $74.95 and "Price" $37.50
    2. Facebook Catalog has no entry for "Sale price" and $37.50 for "Price"
    3. What Facebook catalog should have is $74.95 for "Compare at price" and $37.50 for "Sale price"
    4. So both Facebook fields are wrong.
    5. And both Shopify fields are correct.
    6. Conclusion: The fields in the Facebook 'Product Data Sources" are not matching those exported from Shopify ?

Solution needed: Is there something simple I’m missing here to get my pricing fields to match between Shopify and Facebook?

What it says in creative tools when making ad is: "There is no discount price for Tate 40cm Clock White so it won't show in your ad."

Any tips appreciated; If there is further information I can provide or solutions i can follow up it would be most appreciated.

Best Ben

Hi @benbarren,

Can I ask if you're using the Flexify app by any chance? The reason I ask is that if you are not using Flexify for Instagram or Facebook, I would suggest the following steps as they will force Facebook to generate a new product catalog. Navigate to your Business Integrations page on Facebook and remove ‘Shopify’ from the integrations list.

Log out of your Facebook account and clear your browser's cache. Then, remove the Facebook sales channel from your store's admin in the settings > Sales channel page.

Once you have removed the Facebook sales channel from the store, then log on to your admin using the Shopify mobile app for Android or Apple devices. While logged on to the store via the mobile app, add the Facebook sales channel back on to your store and then reconnect the Facebook account you would like to use for the sales channel. If you try this method, can you let me know if it works for you?

Hi,

My name is Romchy, I am with the support of Shopify Product-Feed ‑ Facebook Google.  This is an application that helps you synchronize the product catalog with Facebook Shopping, Google Merchant Center aka Google Shopping, Instagram Shopping, Yottos AdLoad, Pinterest.

I will now help you figure out why you have this problem: "Facebook sales channel showing price not sale price".
Why is it happening and how to solve it?

In your case, the problem is that the goods and price from your Shopify store are not updated immediately in advertising networks. This is also called asynchronous update. When you changed the price of a product in the Shopify store and it was immediately updated and appeared in an advertisement on Facebook Shopping, Instagram Shopping.

The Shopify Product-Feed - Facebook app Google has a package that has this feature. Moreover, in the same PREMIUM PLAN package you use the application for 60 days with all the functions for free)!

I would also like to recommend breaking down your catalogs into themes so that you create thematic them when creating advertising campaigns. Just this opportunity is in the same application.

If you have additional questions, write to me, I will be happy to help you)!

Good luck with your advertising campaigns)!

Does anyone have a tested solid solution for this problem?  I'm having the same issue and I'm hesitant about using any third-party apps since I have a good campaign going with google merchant center and don't want to throw a wrench in it.  Just need to get the Facebook price thing worked out to get some accurate advertising and prices shown on some facebook ad campaigns.

Once again, looking for a solution without having to use a 3rd party feed app.  Shopify,  help us out here.

In the link below, applications are developed by different companies for synchronization, but they are all official Shopify partners.
