Hello,

It is doing my head in trying to find out where I can get Google to say my shop is open. Instead it says Opening Soon. Everywhere I go talks about going to Admin in Shopify - can't find that. Not very tech savvy I'm afraid. Help! Please!

What do you mean by "Google say"?

I'm guessing you're talking about what you see in organic search results when Googling your store name? Google will need to recrawl the latest version of your store first so that it can update it's cache of your store. It will naturally do this otherwise you can speed it up by setting up Google Search Console then requesting Google to crawl your homepage.

Yes Josh, many thanks for your reply. All it keeps saying is 'OPENING SOON'. I have joined - yesterday, the Google Console thingy. But do not where to go inside this to change bits and pieces. Cheers

You can ask Google to recrawl. See: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/6065812?hl=en

@beading4655 go to Online Store > Preferences and check what you have written for Homepage title and Homepage meta description. Are you seeing the same "opening soon" language you're seeing in Google? If so, follow @Josh_Uebergang 's guidance and submit your homepage URL through Google Search Console and request reindexing. If not, please send a screenshot showing what you're seeing in the Google search results.
