Hey I know this isn’t exactly shopify related but more google ads and marketing. Is google ads really worth it im not have much success after spending over $400 without a single sale through the ads it’s self I recently paid a google ads expert to redo my ads but it hasn’t improved. Am I better off focusing on regular posting though social media than paying for google ads?
This is my website www.pumi.com.au
I'm Ava from Shopify, I'd like to help you out here.
Google Ads are a great tool in your belt to get traffic to your store. But it's also important that your store is ready to go when visitors do click through to your site! I took a look at your store and no products seem to be loading - this means I couldn't buy anything if I clicked through to your site from a Google Ad. I've taken a quick video of me scrolling through your site here if you'd like to see what I mean! It looks like the products are there, but they are just not visible. Also, I tried to click on the navigation menu in the top left corner - this would not expand for me.
Can I ask what theme you're using at the moment? Is it a Shopify (free) theme, or a third-party (paid) theme? Also, can I ask if you have made any coding changes to your theme lately?
Let me know and we can work this out together!

@Ava Oh well this would answer a lot. It doesn't do that on my computer it all loads fine. its narative free theme. And I have had coding changes done by a web speed optimisation specialist and more recently someone changed the position of the buttons on the desk top site for me.
No problem at all, happy to help where I can. I am viewing the site on a Google Chromebook and using the Chrome browser, and the site is not loading for me still. However, if I check on my mobile device (Android) the site does load for me! So it may be an issue with the Chrome browser. I'd recommend reaching back out to the developers that made the coding changes for SEO and for the button positions. It can sometimes happen that one piece of code can clash with another, so it's worth taking a second look at the changes to make sure it loads on all devices/browsers!
I've noticed your post in the Feedback on my Store threads, this is a great idea to post there! I can see lots of valuable feedback from the community. If you weren't having as much success as you'd like using Google Ads, you may have more luck with creating Facebook Ads instead. Google Ads deliver to a more specified audience that has a higher chance of buying from you, as they show your content to users based on their browsing history. These users are also browsing with intent - as in they are actively searching looking for a product to buy. But the budget for AdWords can run quite high over time; Facebook Ads also deliver to a huge audience and usually run for a smaller budget. Again though, this audience has a chance of scrolling past your ads, as the ads pop up in their feed without them actively searching for you. There are pros and cons to both platforms!
There's a great comparison between the two here that also breaks down the price difference:
You could also add in Google Ads conversion tracking to give you a better idea of what your users do on your site once they've clicked the ad on Google. This might give you a better insight into why they are clicking away.
Let me know what you think!
