I'm having a problem with not showing up on Google Shopping. Checking the Merchant Centre, all my products have warnings about GTIN/Brand/MPM
I need to set it to show that I have no GTIN because I make custom products. I've spent ages researching and trying to figure this out! All my products are set as custom and I gather that this is supposed to mean I don't need the GTIN, but Google still shows 'identifier exists: yes'
So how the heck do I change that to 'no/false' - this is driving me insane. I don't understand why this is so difficult!
Thanks for reading, all advice welcome!
Oh dear! I've read so much about it so it seems to be a problem for a lot of people. Hopefully someone can help. I've tried emailing support through Shopify's Google shopping app but nobody has contacted me yet.
Shopify's default app is free and does not have any advanced features. So expect it is not great.
What you need to do is set up feed rules in Google Merchant Center and achieve the below rules.
Here is how to use feed rules: https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/7450276?hl=en
When submitting product identifiers the following rule applies.
If a manufacturer has assigned a bar code, then submit brand, mpn (if available), GTIN and set identifier exists to yes.
If the manufacturer has not assigned a bar code, then remove the values brand, mpn, gtin and set identifier exists to no.
