Grouped products?

Is it possible to group products in Shopify?

I sell poker chips and a chip series can consists our of many different colors and value prints.

When a customer selects a design, he will most often order a amount of at least a few different colors/value's, so I need all options to be listed in one view and have a box to enter the desired number of each chip the customer want to order.

My current (magento) shop allows me to have it shown like shown on the picture below. Is something like this possible in Shopify?

Hello Jeroen!

Paul here, from the Guru team.

This is absolutely possible with Shopify! We do have a built in feature, [Variants](https://docs.shopify.com/manual/products/variants), that allows you to set up some options for your products, but for the level of detail you're looking to give to the customer, I would recommend an app! Infinite Options is a great free addon for your store that will let you do exactly what you're looking for! Check it out: https://apps.shopify.com/custom-options

Once you get that all set up you can customize your products just the way you'd like :)

Cheers,

Hello Paul,

Thank you for your reply. I am checking out the Infinite Options App as we speak, but I am afraid it is not what I need.

It gives you the option to add boxes or text fields to a product.

In a way, I could place options for value's but they would not be connected to a product which keeps stock.

I would need to be able to create a master product (The chip serie as general) and then connect the single products (each color/value of that chip serie) to that master product so it keeps track of stock.

Hi Jerome,

It is possible to do this in Shopify. Here is an example: http://gogohawaii.com/collections/oahu-luaus/products/paradise-cove-luau

As far as I know there are no themes that support it, so you will need to hire a developer to help build it.

Hi Jeroen,

I agree with Paul that Infinite Options is your best choice for adding the selectable fields for the choices on the product page.

If you need to sync inventory levels between all individual parts of the set I can suggest 2 apps for you. These would be useful if you have multiple sets, that sell the same chips for example, and all of the sets need to have a central inventory count of all the chips:

https://apps.shopify.com/simplesync
or https://apps.shopify.com/shopify-assistant

I hope that helps! Please let me know if you had any other questions about this!

Hugh

Happy selling! :)

Hi Jeroen!

I know this was a question you did back in 2016, but I was facing the same situation for months and I just figured out a solution for it that doesn't need either apps or coding. If you are still interested on that, let me know and I would love to share my experience with it

hey, im looking for answers to this as well.

We build made to order furniture that comes with different fabric options, as well as leg options. I am trying to find a simple solution to expedite the process from making an order, to translating to the building staff what fabric goes with what product. Right now everything through shopify goes through to a random order on the order page, and its hard to know if people buy two different products, what fabric goes to what piece.

Thoughts on this?

Interested in how you grouped items together for sale. Could you share?

Thanks,

I'd like to know how you managed to create grouped products in Shopify.

Thanks
