I just signed up for the 14 day free trial for Shopify and I bought a domain through Shopify. I want to keep this domain but I won't be able to build the store for a few months due to personal reasons. The thing is i don't want to keep paying for the Shopify plan which is 29/month but I do want to keep the domain. I found online the domain is still mine even if I decide to cancel the plan but how do I know that the domain is still mine if I don't have access to the Shopify platform for those months? I was thinking about pausing the store but apparently that feature is not available until after. Do you guys have any ideas? I just don't want to have to pay for the Shopify platform if I'm not gonna be using it for a few months but I REALLY can't lose the domain name.
