Hey, i want to offer a separate collection of downloadable freebies to my site and would like to know how. Also if i could change the "add to cart" on those specific items and just have "download" and it automatically downloads.

Pretty sure this isn't natively supported with Shopify. There's some free apps in the appstore that offer this service though.
