Hyde here from Shopify.

There are two ways to add products to your store. One is manual, as per this video:

The other is using a CSV. You can get a sample CSV to work from in order to ensure you have the right column headers. One of the requisite headers is "tags":

Aside from that, you also need to fill in a product "handle" and "title":

Add a tag. Open the specific product, transfer, order, draft order, customer, or blog post details page in Shopify. In the Tags section, enter the name of a tag you want to add, or select it from the list of existing tags. Click Save.
