How to implement Honeypot technique

Hello,

We received a large amount of spam through the contact form. I searched this forum for help and realized that the honeypot technique is the only one I hadn't tried yet.

So, I added another email field on page.contact.liquid and hidden it successfully. However, I wasn't able to edit the conditions for a successful form submission (meaning - how to condition that once the hidden field is filled - the contact form will not be submitted).

Any help on the matter will be highly appreciated.
